SeaMonkey Places Bookmarks Try Server Builds

After a few attempts, I have created try server builds with my places bookmarks patches. Note that those are trunk builds with a huge pile of experimental patches on top, so use them with care.

Also note that they should import your bookmarks.html into places.sqlite but that's only done if you have no JSON backups in the "bookmarkbackups" directory of your profile and no bookmarks are in the places database yet (which should be the case in a profile of any previous SeaMonkey version). This also means the import is only done once - if you're using the same profile with other SeaMonkey builds and then use it with a build with places bookmarks again, you need to manually import your bookmarks.html once again - there's an option in the bookmarks manage for that.

Things that should work:Known issues:Having said all that, testing and reporting issues is very much appreciated, here are he builds:Please test those builds, ideally with copies of real-world profiles (they might destroy anything as they are highly experimental, don't use them with any profile that has no backups) and report any issues you're seeing.

Thank you Robert for Bookmark places !!!
Not All unfortunately know that it is a great compatibility issue for extensions !!! Some modified didn't work - because of using places API for its work.

Will wait for tabBrowserAPI implementation in SeaMonkey very much !!!
(for support of TabMixPlus-like extensions working)
Wish you more people be involved in!!!

(By the way, Robert, call misak, he would like to make tabBrowserAPI implementation in SeaMonkey!)

    Good start
Now with actually complete try server builds it looks quite nice already. Good job! :-)

    Tested successfully:
    - opening Bookmarks Manager; default set of bookmarks present
    - creating bookmarks in BM, including keywords and tags
    - searching bookmarks in BM and deleting in search mode
    - BM inline bookmark editing
    - Undo, Redo
    - drag & drop from BM to browser content area
    - middle click on bookmarks folder (open in tabs)
    - new bookmark, folder, separator
    - creating bookmark for the current page (Ctrl+D, Ctrl+Alt+D; menu)
    - creating bookmarks for current tabs (Ctrl+Shift+D; menu)
    - using keywords (location bar)

    Not working yet:
    - context menu Bookmark This Page
    - bookmarks toolbar (display, drag & drop)
    - favicons for bookmarks in BM (prefs needed?)
    - bookmarks sidebar
    - items in browser Bookmarks menu
    - BM: Edit / Move (breaks BM)

    Not tested:
    - bookmarks in the location bar (is that implemented already?)
    - Backup, Restore, Import, Export
    - columns and sorting
    - auto export on application exit (if corresponding pref set)
    - first-time auto import of custom bookmarks.html (complex folder hierarchy, groupmarks, Personal Toolbar Folder setting, Imported IE Favorites, ...)
    - Livemarks

This is no criticism, Rome wasn't built in a day either, right? ;-)

Interesting, those worked in my test locally, but now I am also experiencing problems. Maybe some toolkit change in the mean time, need to look into that.

As I mentioned in the post, that's known. In the mean time, I filed bug 554908 for it.

Needs a pref change, but should work in theory.
